Am I required to store long-term?
Not at all! Our storage facility offers flexible options to suit your needs, whether you’re looking for short-term storage or something more long-term. You’re welcome to store with us for as long—or as little—as you need.
How do I pay my monthly storage bill?
At GPL Self Storage, there are several ways to make a payment on your storage account! We accept e-transfer, cash, cheques or you can set your account up for automatic withdrawals from a bank account or credit card. It’s that easy!
Am I able to purchase boxes and other supplies?
Yes, you are! At GPL Self Storage, we carry a wide selection of boxes, tape, bubble wrap, locks, furniture covers and more. Making our facility a one stop shop for your moving and storage needs!
How do I access my storage unit?
Accessing your storage unit is simple! During our open access hours, you can either walk into the facility and to your unit or you can utilize one of our drive-in access options. Once you are in the facility, you’ll notice that all of our aisles are labeled with street names inspired by the south end of Peterborough.
What can I not store in my unit?
For the safety and security of all customers, and staff members, certain items are not permitted to be stored in our facility. Prohibited items include hazardous or flammable materials, explosives, illegal or stolen goods, perishable food, live plants or animals, firearms and ammunition, chemicals, toxic substances, and any items that may create a health, safety, or environmental risk. We also reserve the right to refuse storage of any item that could damage property, attract pests, or interfere with the operation of the facility.

What does our warehouse have to offer you?
Through our warehouse we offer parcel receiving and shipping, skid receiving and shipping and other additional services. Additional services such as, fulfillment by amazon prep, shipping and receiving, industrial wash services and contract assembly. How does your facility handle pest control?
We take pest control seriously to ensure a clean and safe environment for your belongings. Our facility partners with Orkin Pest Control Canada to provide thorough, professional pest management on a regular basis. Your peace of mind is our top priority.
Is your facility accessible?
Yes, our facility is fully accessible. We’ve designed our space with comfort and convenience in mind, featuring accessible entrances, washrooms, wide aisles for mobility devices, and clean, flat cement floors. Our team is also happy to offer assistance whenever needed.

Do you offer vehicles for moving?
Yes, we do! GPL Self Storage is also a U-Haul dealer. We offer the convenience of renting U-Haul moving trucks and cargo vans right at our facility. GPL Self Storage does it all!
Can I transfer units if I need a smaller or larger size?
Yes, you can! We understand that your storage needs may change, so we offer the flexibility to transfer to a different unit size—whether smaller or larger—based on availability. Just let us know, and we’ll be happy to help with the transition.
